Third hangar and upgraded interior shop boost Jet Aviation’s capacity in Singapore

The new third hangar at Jet Aviation’s MRO at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore commenced operations in early December 2017. The 3,850m² hangar can accommodate two BBJ or ACJ aircraft, or five G550s. Projects are supported by an upgraded interior shop at the site – a 300m² extension incorporates a new area for soft goods, a wood shop and drying rooms. The site has also received approval to re-foam and re-style 16g seats from Rockwell Collins (formerly B/E Areospace), including for aircraft registered in China.

The new hangar is currently being used to support scheduled base maintenance projects on an ACJ, a BBJ and a Gulfstream G550. An official opening ceremony will be held in February 2018 during the Singapore Airshow.

“We built this new hangar to help meet strong demand for local business aviation services, especially for more mature long-range aircraft,” said John Riggir, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO facility in Singapore. “Our investment in the future with this new hangar clearly demonstrates our commitment to meeting the needs of our customers.”
