TAG Aviation Maintenance Services Europe has completed its first 120-month inspection on a Global Express aircraft. The work was completed in August 2016 and included a full strip and repaint of the aircraft’s livery, a major overhaul of the landing gear, a SwiftBroadband upgrade and a cabin refurbishment, undertaken at TAG’s Maintenance Services Centre in Geneva, Switzerland.

The 120-month inspection ensures a thorough examination of the aircraft airframe. The cabin interior has to be completely removed for access to facilitate the inspection. The SwiftBroadband upgrade includes a new Satcom Direct Router, which includes Global VT, Aero XR and Sky Ticket – all supplied by Satcom Direct.

“Completion of this first 120-month inspection is a significant milestone for TAG Aviation Farnborough Maintenance Services and has enabled us to develop similar capabilities for future inspections of this scale on a variety of aircraft types,” said Cyrille Pillet, vice president maintenance operations, TAG Aviation Europe.
