December 5, 2016 – Sabena Technics has been selected to carry out the VIP cabin modification of an Airbus A310 aircraft belonging to Saudi Arabian private aviation company, Al Atheer. The cabin refurbishment will take place at Sabena Technics’ completion center in Bordeaux, France, beginning in the first quarter of 2017.
The cabin, which includes a luxurious bedroom, bathroom, private office and lounge, will undergo extensive soft furnishing replacement, including seat and divan upholstery as well as upgrading the IFE systems to HD screens. According to Sabena Technics, the design will be contemporary, with some Arabic inspirations and a high degree of contrast in the colors.
At the same time as the cabin modification and EASA STC work is being undertaken, heavy maintenance C-checks will be carried out on-site, enabling teams to work simultaneously to ensure delivery of the aircraft within three months.
