Fabrice Dumas is the new managing director at Sabena technics’ site in Nîmes, France, and also joins the group’s executive committee.

Dumas, a graduate from ISEP, began his career in 1989 as an engineer and brings more than 15 years of management experience. Previous positions include president and general director of EADS SECA during the merger with Vector Aerospace, CEO of Indusmeca and CEO of Novae Aerospace Industry.

“Fabrice’s experience as well as his leadership skills are valuable strengths to drive our Nimes site’s growth and successfully serve our customers,” said Philippe Rochet, chief operating officer of the Sabena technics group. “I am confident that he will pursue his objectives in line with our group’s strategy of industrial excellence and our development dynamic.”

Sabena technics’ facilities at Nîmes-Garons airport cover more than 35,000m², and are run by a workforce of more than 500 people. The focus is mainly on the base maintenance of narrow- and wide-body aircraft (including the B767/757 and the KC-135), and engineering. The site also provides MRO services for the French Civil Security’s firefighting fleet of Canadair CL415, S-2T Trackers, Beechcraft 200 and Dash 8 aircraft.
