AMAC Aerospace’s facility in Basel, Switzerland, has been awarded several new maintenance projects. The company will install ADSB-Out and a FANS system on a privately owned A319 and a B737, and perform a comprehensive cabin refurbishment on a Bombardier Global 5000.

The B737 will arrive at AMAC in the next few weeks and will undergo a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) at short notice. An existing customer selected AMAC to carry out a base maintenance check on the jet.

A further privately owned B737 will come to Basel in February 2020 to undergo A1 and B1 due maintenance. AMAC will carry out a landing gear overhaul, ADSB-Out and FANS installation and a partial cabin refurbishment.

The Global 5000 cabin refurbishment contract came about after AMAC completed a major maintenance input on the aircraft in October 2019.

The A319 is due to arrive at the facility by the end of 2019. AMAC has been tasked with six- and 18-month due maintenance work.
