Leader announced for West Star Aviation’s Chattanooga MRO

West Star Aviation is working toward the grand opening of a new MRO at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, and has appointed a director of operations to oversee the new facility. Thomas Hilboldt was formerly satellite manager at West Star Aviation’s facility in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

The new 20,424ft² heated hangar space sits on a ground-lease footprint of 170,798ft². It will house maintenance, interior and avionics operations, as well as a mobile response team. It also features 20,424ft² of heated and air-conditioned mixed-use space, which will be used for administrative and customer offices.

“We are excited to have Thomas in this new role and, as construction comes to a close, to start utilizing the new space and provide additional service to our customers,” said Rodger Renaud, chief operating officer, West Star Aviation.

West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts.
