Millennium International, an FAA/JAA/EASA certified repair station that specializes in avionics, has finalized a 1,050ft² (100m²) Class 100 clean room as an expansion of its existing 9,500ft² (880m²) facility in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

This new clean room will allow the company to perform full tab bonding and repair, bonded glass repair and replacement, filter glass, polarizer and diffuser repair and replacement, and complete LCD repair. Additional capabilities include backlight repair and replacement, complete vertical integration to support repair of LCD primary flight displays, standby displays CDU, and MCDU displays.

“This clean room allows us to offer expanded capabilities related to custom ruggedized LCD solutions for commercial, corporate and military aerospace applications,” said Claude Peoples, vice president of sales and services, Millennium International. “This room ensures that repairs of all the units we work on are handled in a controlled environment and reduces the chance of contamination due to dust and particle complications.”
