AMAC working on A330 and A319 Ka-band installations

AMAC Aerospace is working on two Ka-band installation projects at its headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.

A head-of-state A330 is in for a C-check that is being combined with a full IFE upgrade including large 4K monitors and new switch panels; seat refurbishment; the replacement of all obsolete parts; and the Ka-band installation. For the latter, AMAC will reuse an STC it developed in-house for the A330-200 type.

Meanwhile, an A319 is in for a six-year maintenance check and Ka-band installation. AMAC’s engineering department is working on a new STC for the Ka-band installation, which it expects to be able to offer to all ACJ operators by mid-March 2018.
