Aero-Dienst keeps Learjet 45XR air ambulance mission-ready

Aero-Dienst’s Mobile Repair Team (MRT) has performed an engine change on a Learjet45XR operated by long-time customer Luxembourg Air Ambulance (LAA). The aircraft is used for worldwide air ambulance repatriation services.

The team identified the engine problem remotely together with Honeywell and the LAA technicians and decided to send it to the in-house engine shop in Nuremberg, Germany, for repair. Thanks to cooperation with Honeywell, Aero-Dienst was able to quickly organise a rental engine to cover the time of the repair and shipped it to the customer base. The MRT was sent to Luxembourg to complete the engine change on site.

“We are grateful to the entire Aero-Dienst team for the smooth and efficient AOG support,” said Horst Lenhard, technical director at LAA. “We have been working with Aero-Dienst for airframe, engine and avionics maintenance for many years. In such special moments it is good to know that we have such a reliable partner by our side.”
