Positive times at HondaJet as Elite deliveries begin

Honda Aircraft Company has begun deliveries of its advanced aircraft, the HondaJet Elite, at its headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Deliveries of the aircraft begin just after the HondaJet model has been named the ‘most delivered aircraft in its class’ during the first half of 2018, based on information provided by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). During the first half of 2018, Honda Aircraft delivered 17 HondaJets to customers.

Honda Aircraft Company president and CEO Michimasa Fujino said of the start of deliveries, “We are excited about the very positive worldwide reaction to the HondaJet Elite’s market entrance and are pleased to announce that, most recently, more than 10 orders in Japan were placed following our expansion to the region in June. Deliveries in Japan will begin following receiving type certification from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau early next year.”

The HondaJet boasts some exciting interior features, including a Bongiovi Audio System available as an option. Described as an “industry-first speaker-less in-cabin sound system”, it provides an immersive audio experience throughout the entire cabin. Further interior equipment options include a belted lavatory, a galley with coffee brewer, and two-toned executive leather seats.

Commenting on the HondaJet being ranked as the most delivered aircraft in its class, Fujino stated, “When creating the HondaJet, my priority was to enhance the lives of business jet users by designing an aircraft that offered unrivaled performance, value and comfort. As the HondaJet remains the most delivered very light jet, we would like to thank our customers for choosing the aircraft for its best-in-class attributes. We are looking forward to continuing to deliver the HondaJet and HondaJet Elite around the globe.”
