Capacity is being doubled at Bombardier’s service center at London Biggin Hill Airport in the UK. A new hangar should open by the end of 2017, and more than 70 technicians are being added, taking the facility’s headcount to approximately 115 by mid-2018.

The new hangar will be used for heavy maintenance including 96- and 120-month inspections. There will be increased capacity to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications and avionics installations for Learjet, Challenger and Global jets.

The Biggin Hill facility was inaugurated in 2017, and has supported more than 40 maintenance events.
