VIP Dornier 328 is first fruit of Visionnaire, 328 Support Services and CTM Design partnership

After two years of planning, Italian ‘home philosophy’ brand Visionnaire - IPE Cavalli, German aircraft design and completion specialist 328 Support Services and UK-based aviation design firm CTM design have announced their partnership for the custom refurbishment of private aircraft. The first fruit of this arrangement is a customised 12-seat VIP Dornier 328 interior. A sample section of the interior is on display at Visionnaire’s showroom in Milan, Italy, until 22 April 2012, and will also be showcased at the upcoming EBACE exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland (14–16 May 2012).

Visionnaire’s creative direction will be supported by CTM Design, which is the aviation and marine design and project director of the partnership. The aircraft will follow typical styling cues from the Visionnaire brand, with every detail personalised to the customer – including seats, doors, the bathroom, hardware and soft furnishings. This can be completed with a Visionnaire-branded exterior paint scheme if desired.

“The secret is personalisation,” commented Leopoldo Cavalli, CEO of Visionnaire. “Our clients love collecting unique, individual, handmade objects, crafted by the finest artisans across the world. That’s why our jet aircraft will be different, totally bespoke to each, but keeping the same design spirit we propose to our clients for our large residential projects.”

The Dornier 328 is a medium-range aircraft capable of trips 4-5 hours long, depending on conditions. Originally conceived for regional European travel, the partners believe the aircraft will attract interest from the Middle East to the Far East. Visionnaire has its focus on longer-distance aircraft too.
