AMAC Aerospace orders Cair system for VIP B777-200
AMAC Aerospace has ordered CTT’s Cair system for installation on a VIP B777-200 aircraft. The installation is scheduled for 2011. The Cair system is based on evaporative cooling technology, designed to provide a humidification of around 20-25% in aircraft cabins. It also incorporates the Zonal Drying System to counter condensation problems. CTT says Cair reduces problems linked to dry air – such as fatigue, jetlag, red eyes, dry skin, and the spread of viruses.
“AMAC Aerospace is very pleased to be working again with CTT. We had a very strong collaboration on a previous project, which was a driving factor for choosing them again,” said Tracey Hawthorne-Kurz, director of purchasing and logistics at AMAC Aerospace.
“We are very pleased to receive this new order from AMAC Aerospace being the second from the company and we are especially excited receiving the order for a B777 VIP aircraft as it is the first order for us on that aircraft type,” said Ulf Liljenberg, vice president of sales and marketing at CTT Systems. “We strongly believe the B777 will be a very popular aircraft in the VIP sector and hope for more orders to come. This also means we will be able to offer the system to potential airliners.”
