Luminator targets helicopter market through Aviall
Luminator has announced plans to increase the availability of its aerospace lighting products to the helicopter industry through Aviall’s LIFT programme, which offers a variety of tailor-made services for helicopter customers. Luminator specialises in avionics interior lighting and passenger information signs, as well as exterior lighting products for retrofit and forward-fit applications in the fixed wing and rotor wing markets. Aviall provides supply-chain services for the aerospace and defense industries.
“Through its large distribution network, Aviall will continue to offer our extensive range of aerospace lighting products, such as interior lighting and passenger information systems and a robust selection of searchlights,” said Dan Kelleher, Luminator’s vice president of sales and marketing – North America.
Luminator uses a wide range of lighting technologies in its products, including advanced LED, incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, infrared and high intensity discharge (HID). Luminator also offers a broad array of lighting products, supported by design, certification and consulting services.
Aviall Services – a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company – is a distributor of aftermarket aerospace parts, buying them from more than 230 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for resale to more than 25,000 customers in government, commercial and general aviation. Aviall also performs repair work on batteries, hoses, wheels and brakes, and handles supply-chain management and other services.
