Altitude Aerospace Interiors offers a full interior service for VIP jets. Based in Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand, Altitude’s FAA145 and EASA145 authorised repair stations are supported by over 45 professional engineering staff, designers and technical support staff. The company offers overhaul and heavy repair services for airframes and components, with special capabilities including avionics upgrades, interior reconfiguration, interior modifications, interior product development and working with composite materials. Altitude is more than just an integrator; it has the people, processes, skills and network to chart a course through the complex issues that surround supplier management, design engineering, certification, manufacturing and installation to provide a complete solution for VIP aircraft reconfiguration.
In a further development to complement its strengths in the design engineering of VIP aircraft, Altitude opened a dedicated BBJ refurbishment centre in Christchurch, New Zealand at the end of 2008. The facility provides an end-to-end refurbishment and completion service for Boeing Business Jets (BBJ), utilising dedicated interiors specialists and heavy maintenance technicians. Altitude has also combined its expertise in industrial design and integration engineering with a supply chain that leverages New Zealand’s luxury yacht manufacturing industry to supply high-end interior products.
Altitude initiated BBJ interior refurbishments in 2007; the positive feedback from those programmes has driven the development of the BBJ refurbishment centre. “It is clear from the feedback of existing customers that the demands discerning BBJ customers place on their service providers match our strengths as a quality-focused niche service provider,” says Michael Pervan, general manager of Altitude.
